Jim and I had a tough time figuring out who Andrew looked like most when we were still in the hospital. It was hard to tell during those first few days when he appeared less like a chunky monkey and more like a wrinkley minature old man. Now that he is a mature 2-1/2 months old, we believe that he is starting to take after my side of the family a little more. To be more certain, I decided to look for some baby pictures of the two of us for comparison.
During my search though, my mom and I discovered that there were no pictures of me before the age of two despite the heaping piles of infant photos of my siblings (and people wonder why I have the middle child syndrome). Figuring that I must have looked much like my younger sister, Amanda (since we are quite similar as adults), we used Amanda's pictures as proxies and found an uncanny resemblance.
As you can see, Andrew's face and the shape of his head are a little more round than Jim's. The slightly up-turned button nose, big cheeks, and little chin seem to be much like Amanda's at six months. Where it is more difficult to discern similarities (due to Amanda's clothing) is Andrew's body shape. At least on a first pass, he may be taking after his daddy with the chunky legs (especially the thighs!) and beefy arms. At this rate, he may end up with a Lum face on top of a Colman body!
