I hate to admit this but my innate Asian competitivess emerges when I compare Andrew's development with other infants. Jim, AJ & I went for Andrew's check-up today and learned that he is in the 99th percentile for height and 97th percentile for weight. Part of me thought: "Great, he is developing very well" but the other part started thinking: "OK, let's aim to be in the 99th percentile for all scores from now on!" Poor guy - now I know why so many Asians feel insecure as adults. ;-)
All kidding aside, we are just thrilled that Andrew is doing so well so far. The height part surprised both Jim and me given our own stature, but we would love to see Andrew take after his tall Baldwin relatives (slim chance, but we can always hope). We are fortunate that Andrew has been developing at such a healthy pace. His robustness certainly helps to keep him content and happy - and thus his parents happy as well!
