Andrew has become a rather picky eater recently. We've tried a whole assortment of things, even chicken fingers as a last resort. Luckily, he does like yogurt and fruits, so we'll give him that if he fails to eat the rest of his lunch or dinner. A few weeks ago, he was eating nothing but pasta with tomato sauce - a staple for him until he got sick of it. Last week, he slurped up his lentil soup and couldn't seem to get enough of it (he even ate his daddy's share). That lasted for about a day and a half - now he screams whenever he sees me bring the bowl over to him. Since his teachers at school do not spoon-feed him during lunch, we had to let Andrew eat his favorite food du jour with his fingers, something that Jim and I did not like at first but were resigned to since Andrew was not eating any of the "neat" finger foods. We used to wonder about parents who wouldn't feed their kids a well-balanced diet - now that we have our very own food brat, we understand. We're just relieved whenever Andrew does eat his meals, whatever that may be.
