Mother's Day

I had a wonderful first Mother's Day celebration with my boys.  Andrew and his dad took me out for the requisite Mother's Day brunch (apparently that was THE thing to do in the DC area since the average wait for brunch was 3 hours without a reservation).  The restaurant was lovely and decorated with pastel-colored balloons just for Mother's Day.  All the little baby girls at the restaurant had pretty dresses on (and matching purses to go with their dresses).  I'm lucky that I had a boy and had a convenient excuse for why he was not dressed to the nines.

The boys made me feel special on Mother's Day, but I feel special almost everyday with a wonderful baby boy like Andrew and a loving husband like Jim (OK- this last bit is overly saccharine, but 'tis true)!

That photo of you and Andrew laughing just warms my heart, Celeste. Thanks for posting, and a belated happy mother's day! Abby
