First Week of Daycare

We are relieved that Andrew's first week of daycare (and my first week back at work) is finally over. Despite Andrew's rough start, he was able to adapt quickly.  He refused to eat and nap the first two days but cried the entire time instead. He finally started eating on Wednesday but had to compensate for starving himself previously by eating everything in sight.  The daycare providers asked us to begin bringing extra bottles for Andrew given his new insatiable appetite (he is now eating 30+ ounces of milk a day), so I went back to waking up every two to three hours at night to make sure that factory output was meeting customer demand.

We still think he cries quite a bit at the daycare though because he now sounds like a wounded mouse when he cries.  On the bright side, at least Jim and I won't go deaf from his screams.  Another positive about daycare is that Andrew is usually so fatigued by the time he gets home that he goes straight to bed without any complaints!
