Boys Playfighting and Andrew Reading

Oh boy!  It has been quite a while since I posted on this blog.  The boys have changed a lot since we last made a post.  Christian talks a lot more now and has a very big vocabulary for his age (I just looked at videos of Andrew at the same age and Andrew definitely wasn't speaking as much as Christian at 2 YO).  Andrew is becoming more of a Smart Aleck so we've realized that we have to watch out for what we say (because he has a steel-trap memory) and what we do.  We also get a kick out of Andrew repeating some of the phrases his teachers use to get the kids to behave.  When Christian threw a tantrum last week because he didn't get the particular type of yogurt he wanted, Andrew immediately said "You get what you get, and you don't get upset."

The two videos below include one from bedtime reading, where Andrew decided to take the book I was reading to him and "read" it himself instead.  I had read it to him a few times before so he had memorized most of the words and was very proud of himself when he finished.  The second video is of the boys playing in our side yard.  The boys were "helping" me with some yardwork last weekend when they took a break and decided to fight "bad" guys instead by pulling two milk jugs from the recycling bin and using them as shields.  Christian actually says "fight bad guys" in the video but they were only fighting each other instead until Andrew lost his shoe (which he kept doing for some reason).
